I was asked by Niki Waltl to help him out on an advertising video for Element Skateboards. As I’ve been into Skateboarding for half of my life already, it was quite obvious to jump right into it. The mission was animating a promo video for the very gifted Jarne Verbruggen‘s pro model release. We discussed the initial plan and realized that there were some major difficulties to overcome, so I came up with a Plan B. As the artist of the board (the amazing Fernando Elvira) was using his scissors for a clean 2 d image, I thought that it would make sense to let Jarne skate in a 3d version of the art work that Fernando would build. The key shot all the way to the end was crutial, as this was revealing the reason for it all.

This shoot at the Skatehalle Innsbruck was quite intense for the entire crew, but pretty rewarding as Jarne was landing his tricks at every obstacle. Thanks a lot for the commitment to Jarne Verbruggen, Niki Waltl, Fernando Elvira, Flo Eckhardt, Shaun and Romi as well as Element.
